Alison Wallace obtained her BSc from the University of York, England, and began her research career in vaccine development for ovine chlamydia infection at the Moredun Research Institute in Scotland. She completed her PhD in 2010 at the MRC Human Reproductive Sciences Unit at the University of Edinburgh, investigating the role of inflammation in the development of endometrial cancer. Alison then began her current post as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at St George’s, University of London, where her research is focussed on building 3-D in vitro models of pregnancy and understanding the role of decidual natural killer cells in healthy and pathologic pregnancies.
