Dr Sarah A Marshall is a David L Healy Fellow and is head of the Maternal and Perinatal Vascular and Placental Research Group at Monash University/Monash Health. She was awarded her PhD in 2017 from the University of Melbourne, having researched the vascular effects of the pregnancy hormone relaxin. In 2017, she was recruited as a Research Fellow by Prof Euan Wallace to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her research focus has predominantly been on the preclinical assessment of novel antioxidant treatments for preeclampsia and gestational diabetes, and the clinical translation of the most promising treatments. Dr Marshall specialises in evaluating the vasculature of women with hypertension in pregnancy using a unique combination of non-invasive clinical techniques combined with cutting edge discovery science.
