- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Dr Ellem is a cancer researcher within the Department of Anatomy and Developmental Biology at Monash University, Australia. His research program examines estrogen synthesis and action in the prostate, particularly the opposing roles of the estrogen receptors (ERalpha and ERbeta) and the emerging link between aberrant estrogen exposure, inflammation, and prostate cancer. His laboratory is particularly focused on the importance of the tumour microenvironment and the role of the tumour stroma, work that is underpinned by the analysis of human tissues, including pathology and in-vitro modelling.
