Dr Kirsty Walters was awarded her PhD in 2005 from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland for her work on the role of the insulin-like growth factor (IGF) system in ovarian follicular development. Subsequently she was recruited to the ANZAC Research Institute, Sydney, where her research focused on the role of androgens in female reproduction and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Dr Walters has recently joined the Univeristy of New South Wales, Sydney, where she is lab head of the Ovarian Biology group.
